Promoting the use and appreciation of the Double Rifle in the Shooting and Hunting Sports
2007 DRSS Hosted Shoot in Eastern Pennsylvania
In 2007 members of the DRSS met at the public shooting range located on Pennsylvania State Game Lands 205, near Fogelsville, PA. DRSS members "Doc52", "Retreever", and "Badger Matt" met up with new DRSS member "BigFiveJack" because Jack was doing research prior to purchasing his first double rifle. Since a number of DRSS members lived close to BigFiveJack, the hosted a shoot so Jack could try a number of different double rifles. Educating people about double rifles, and assisting them with making an educational decision regarding which rifle they should purchase is what the DRSS is all about.
On this day, Jack was able to handle and shoot double rifles chambered in .450 No 2 NE, .470 NE, .500 NE, and .577 NE.
Below are two photos from that shoot.
