A. Francotte .470 Nitro Express
This A. Francotte .470 Nitro Express is owned by DRSS member "577NitroExpress." This rifle is equiped with 26" barrels with one standing and three folding rear sights; the front sight has a flip up bead. It has an extended trigger guard with a trap grip cap. This Francotte is also built with a removable hinge pin. The gun is in original condition and still maintains vibrant color case hardening colors. The length of pull is 14.5" and has a leather covered recoil that that was installed by JJ Perodeau at Champlin Firearms. The gun was proofed in 1927 in Belgium and was regulated with solid bullets. The gun currently shoots exceptionally well with 86 grains of Reloader 15, 500 grain Woodleigh Bullets (softs), BELL brass, Federal 215 primers and 2 grains of Dacron filler.
